Anathallo Theatre Group
Laura Modica has been working at
Markon since September 2023, initially
in the Planing Of昀椀ce helping with
administrative duties, before moving
into the Accounts Of昀椀ce as Invoice
Assistant.
Laura commented, “I thoroughly enjoy
working for Markon and feel I can be my
unique self. I work with people from all
different departments and from the moment
I stepped through the doors, I’ve felt super
supported and welcomed, and I couldn’t be happier.”
Laura is part of the Anathallo Theatre Group, an
amateur dramatic theatre group based in Glasgow,
where a close bunch of friends came together
through their love of musicals and theatre to bring a
little magic to the local community.
In December 2024, they showcased their Panto,
Aladdin, which was a huge hit, and they are now
working on a Glasgow themed showcase which will
tie in with the Glasgow 850 celebrations.

Laura is engaged to Stacy, they have a son together
and are due to be married in August 2026. Along
with musical theatre, Laura’s other hobbies include
archery, painting, and tarot readings.

Black Isle Farmers Association Annual Ploughing Competition 2025
LEITHS HAVE ONCE AGAIN
DONATED A 20T LOAD OF
AGRICULTURAL LIME TO THE
BLACK ISLE FARMERS
ASSOCIATION.
This year’s event was held at St
Martins Farm, Culbokie by kind
permission of J McCallum &
Partners and was the 31st match
held by the Black Isle Farmers
Association.
The event attracted nearly 100
entrants travelling far and wide
from Aberdeenshire, Sutherland &
Caithness, Dumfries & Galloway,
Borders, West Coast, and locals
from the Black Isle & Ross-shire
areas.
The competition is comprised of
Vintage tractors in action on the day.
various classi昀椀cations of tractors
and ploughs ranging from vintage
tractors, beginners, juniors,
intermediates, horticultural, and
modern demonstrators equipped
with various types of ploughs
comprised of conventional and
reversible of various furrows.
The objective is quite simple in that
entrants must plough as straight
a furrow as possible over a set
distance which is then subjected
to rigorous inspection by various
judges.
This year’s donation of Ag Lime
was won by Craig Nicol who works
on a stock farm at Loch Ussie near
Dingwall and on a potato farm at
Munlochy Mains on the Black Isle.
